User Interfaces

Desktop Access and Security

Interacting directly with ChangeMan ZMF from desktop tools such as and Eclipse-based IDE or from Microsoft Explorer has the self same stringent controls provided by your SAF-based security system.

Eclipse Interfaces

ChangeMan ZMF provides full integration with Eclipse Workbench, Rational Application Developer, IBM WebSphere Developer for z/Series, and IBM Rational Developer for System z. Using these integrations, you can access ChangeMan ZMF functions from directly within the IDE.

Native Interfaces

ChangeMan ZMF makes it easy for developers to get their job done. We use standard ISPF protocols including Panel Definitions and follow the IBM ISPF menu paradigm. This makes learning ChangeMan ZMF very easy.

We use standard Job Control Language (JCL), File Tailoring Services (FTL), and REXX so your developers and administrators already know how to interact with ChangeMan ZMF. We store the load modules and compressed listings in the standard library types you already use.

Explorer Interface

Using ChangeMan ZDD, you can browse your mainframe system as if it were a network file system. It provides seamless access to data sets, job submission, job output and to ChangeMan ZMF components from a Windows desktop. All of your existing access and security is still enforced. No special execution or programming interface is required. Data sets, job output, and ChangeMan ZMF components are accessed as though they were local files on your PC.

Browser Interface

When used in conjunction with Serena Application Release Management or Serena Development Process Management applications, users can manage the process of development and trigger activities on the mainframe using a Web browser.
