One Package – Multiple User Interfaces

Modern Mainframe Development

Modern mainframe software development occurs on both mainframe and distributed systems. In order for you to take advantage of your mainframe development resources, the new ChangeMan ZMF Client Pack option provides multiple client interfaces for you to choose from. The ZMF Client Pack includes both ChangeMan ZDD and the new ChangeMan ZMF for Eclipse plug-in. Choose your interface and use the Eclipse Workbench, the IBM Rational Developer for System z (RDz) environment, and/or ChangeMan ZMF to develop and maintain your mainframe applications.

ChangeMan ZDD

Using ChangeMan ZDD, you can browse your mainframe system as if it were a network file system. From a Windows desktop, ChangeMan ZDD provides seamless access to data sets, job submission, job output, and to ChangeMan ZMF components. All of your existing access and security is still enforced. No special execution or programming interface is required. Data sets, job output, and ChangeMan ZMF components are accessed as though they were local files on your PC.

ChangeMan ZMF for Eclipse Plug-In

The new ChangeMan ZMF for Eclipse Plug-In supports both the native Eclipse Workbench and the IBM Rational Developer for System z (RDz) environments. Now, you can develop off the mainframe and still enjoy full integration with ChangeMan ZMF and continue to benefit from the version control, build management, release management, and deployment capabilities of ChangeMan ZMF.
