Please join Serena, SES and immixGroup for an Interactive Seminar on Demand Management, PPM and Business Mashups
IT faces a huge challenge. Laden with maintaining myriad systems and applications, typically 80% of IT budgets are being spent just keeping the lights on. Meanwhile, requests for new applications and services are piling up, creating an ever-growing application backlog.
During this seminar, we will discuss: |
 |
 |
- Enabling IT executives to better align IT investment decisions with strategic initiatives.
- Gaining visibility both within and across departmental/agency IT projects
- Identifying the right resources with the right skills for successful project delivery
- Empowering the business to build and deploy their own simple business applications, or business mashups, which leverage existing IT systems
- Establishing an IT governance framework and process that supports IT as well as business-led development projects
- The most important aspects of IV&V, how to build a sustainable program, how to interpret the wide variety of IV&V methods and tools (IEEE, CMMI and PMBOK), and other invaluable secrets and lessons learned. Presented by Jim Bridges, President & CEO of SES.

Additional information on SES presentation and case study:
Performing Independent Verification and Validation (IV&V) reviews are now critical requirements on federal and state government projects (in fact, IV&V is now mandated for HHS and NASA related projects). IV&V may include inspections, walkthroughs and checklists for auditing systems and subsystems that are produced by internal and external project teams. IV&V should and must be incorporated throughout the entire system development life cycle. Software Engineering Services (SES), a long standing Serena partner, has been performing IV&V engagements for the last 15 years within both state and federal environments (with the States of Texas, Iowa, Alabama and Florida, and US Air Force). SES is very familiar with the most effective methods to conduct successful IV&V programs, and how to collaborate and ensure all stakeholders expectations are met.
