Serena Education Courseware License

Serena’s Courseware Licensing Program is recommended for companies with internal training departments.  If you are planning a comprehensive employee education program, Serena courseware licensing is a cost-effective, high-quality alternative to developing instructional programs in-house.

Key Features

Serena licenses its courses for internal use by customers. Licensed courses may be duplicated or modified in-house for classroom use.  Our licensing program provides the flexibility to meet your needs so you can rapidly deploy and leverage the full power of Serena solutions. The program includes:

• Master sets of instructor and student materials, work session diskette(s) and other student information
• Customizable courseware provided in Microsoft PowerPoint and Frame-Maker format
• Volume discounts on student materials if you wish to purchase them
• On-site Train-the-Trainer program to maximize learning for both instructors and students

In addition, Serena courseware experts can help you customize the training materials to your organization’s objectives. 

Cost

The fee for the courseware license is $12,000 per course day.  On-site Train-the-Trainer training is included; however the customer must pay for the travel and expenses of the Serena trainer.

• Annual MFR - $2,400

Course Updates and Maintenance

Your license fee includes rights to any updates made by Serena to the course for a period of 90 days from the date of purchase.  After that period, you may obtain all succeeding updates by paying an annual maintenance fee of $2,400 per course day. If you do not participate in the maintenance program, course updates will be available for an additional fee of $7,200 per course day.

Train-the-Trainer

To prepare your trainers to teach the course, a Serena certified trainer will work at your site for two days. During this time the trainer will train up to four individuals from your company on product knowledge, course content, presentation skills and Serena training methodology.

The Train-the-Trainer program includes:

• Product knowledge as it relates to the course
• Course flow and content 
• Completion of course exercises, labs and/or workshops
• Serena training methodology and best practices
• Graded oral presentation of a section from the course
• Written certification exam
• Video tape instructor candidate and focus on specific areas for improving presentation skills
